Life as we knew it....

We apologize it's taken us a while to figure out this blog thing, but here we are! Brock and I have had a whirlwind of a week and no matter what anyone tells you, nothing can truely prepare you for your first baby. Life as we knew it seems like a distant memory and has been replaced with late nights/early mornings, sometimes both; droopy eyes and tired bodies, headaches from all the crying, dirty diapers, and my personal favorite, the constant worrying about the life and well-being of a completely helpless human being. And all this starts taking place not more than a minute after 22 hours of labor and delivery.

BUT.. as crazy as it's all been, we still feel like the luckiest two people in the world. Everytime Savannah opens her eyes and stares up at us it just makes our hearts melt and we feel so blessed to have her as a part of our family. Seeing her change in just a week has been so amazing. I can't even imagine how much she'll change in a month or two. She has blessed us and continues to bless us individually as we watch ourselves grow and develop into the roles as mother and father. She's blessed us as a couple to learn how to work together and tackle the trials that come with being parents. We have truely become the best of friends and learned to trust eachother so much more because of her. We thank our Heavenly Father everyday for trusting us enough to send us such a precious daughter of His.

We can't wait for her to meet all of her amazing aunts and uncles!! We love you!! And Kerry and Taylor, we welcome any and all parenting tips. :)

P.S. Garrett, if you would like any tips or advice on being a great support coach for Chel in the delivery room, just ask Brock. He was a natural. And what he didn't know before, he definitely does now. :)

Doesn't she look like a Seibold??

  1. Just wanted everyone to know and be jealous that Kody was the first on the Seibold side to see and hold savannah, I'm sure she'll remember it for the rest of her life and in turn show perhaps a little favoritism. Just remember it's only cause I got there first, nothing against any of you personally.
