Payment of a Different Sort

Today I received a payment for my current place of employment. This payment did not come by way of check nor did I receive it through direct-deposit. It came in 11 words (12 if you want to count a conjunction as two words). Awww, remember that song, "Conjunction junction, what's your function?" Anywho, back to the story. . . .

After having left class one of my students came back to tell me, with tears welling up in her eyes, "Brother Seibold, you are the best seminary teacher I've ever had." This beautiful young lady is a senior and it is her last semester of seminary. Her comment wasn't about me however. I felt as she said that that she was really thanking me for listening to the Spirit and helping to guide the class discussion so that she might hear the things she needed to hear. She heard a message of hope and of love and of mercy. I could feel that she again found hope in the message of our Savior to "Come unto [Him]" and be perfected through His love and grace.

Needless to say, after she left I went into my room and shed several tears of gratitude that I was able to be used to convey a message that someone needed to hear. Our God truly is a personal God and I know that He is mindful of each and every one of us. I know that He knows us. I have learned, again. . . .so I guess that means I was reminded. I was reminded again that He is a personal God, our Father, and is guiding our steps even when we don't realize it.

I love my job! I love my students! I love this Plan! It is perfect in every way! Bringing other's to Christ is truly the best work we can be engaged in. So, with that said, all you mommies and daddies continue to be good and let your light shine!

Love you all, lots!
