College Life

So I have decided to take up the task of resurrecting the family blog.  I would also appreciate some help in this task.  Anywho, so basically I have been a college student for over a month now and boy has it been a big adjustment.  I had a break down every day for the first week and would call Brian sobbing, begging him to run away to Italy with me.  He didn't go for it.  But, I am now pleased to announce that I am enjoying life once again, staying on top of my classes, and not planning to run away.  I was unsure of my roommates at first (Due to text messages I would receive at 12:03 asking where I was followed by a "drive home safely", when I was home at 12:06.  Ps. For those who don't know the Honor Code, curfew is 12), but now I love them and we have so much fun together!  Tonight we made chocolate chip cookies and watched Anna and the King, great movie by the way.  Another reason to rejoice is that Eugene lives 60 seconds away and Johann(sad to admit this but I don't know how to spell this) lives 2700 seconds away!  We usually have Sunday dinner together every couple weeks.  Kode and I have our ceremonial trip to Wally's World every week which includes sorting through the $5 movie bin, walking down almost every aisle, and getting high from smelling this scent stuff you put in a jar.  I seriously love having them so close, they have kept me sane!
Now for what you all have been dieing to hear about, the one and only Brian John Frederick.  What it basically comes down to is that we are in love and we will keep you updated.  We trade weekends of who will drive for three hours, and it is always a struggle when it is his turn.  This has nothing to do with him and everything to do with Rexburg being very small and that our brains sometimes struggle with being creative.  We have eaten at probably half of the restaurants, become frequent movie attenders, wandered through many stores, seen most of the natural beauty of Idaho that is within reasonable driving distance, been to every park, and we still have time to fill. One hard thing is that if you want to be alone, it has to be outside because you will never find a room or building that is not occupied.  That's right, all Brian and I do is make out. Be jealous.
Time for a spiritual moment.  So, Brian had a calling with a friend where they planned weekly activities and had a nondenominational church service on Sunday with boys at the ARTEC Juvenile Detention Center.  They had the calling with an older couple; the wife is a certified marriage and family counselor, has written a couple books, and gave a devotional at BYU-I.  Brain and I have listened to the devotional and it is excellent!  It is a little long but I highly reccoment listening to it! I will post a link to it at the bottom.
Anywho, I just want you all to know that I miss you so much and I can't wait for the family vacation. I seriously love you all more than you will ever know!

ski trip by:Dylan Seibold

well hello everybody this is Dylan reporting in on the ski trip up north. well first I'd like talk about the trip up we had fun wathing pirates of the carribean and jack's pointless talking that furthed my headache and we also watched I Am Legend which is the scariest movie I've ever seen. Now to the skiing after getting up and eating breakfast and getting everything together we left for nubs nob. On our way we had to stop for medicine and the woman at the counter decided to help us with our legacy and take forever so we ended up being late how ironic. Now tthat were actually at the hill we decided to start with just hitting the regular slopes and going in the back of the hill and then later we decided to go to the terrain park and Kody not having skiing in 4 years pulls of a 360 on his 3rd jump and how he amazed us with his superb tricks and his amazingness and after we went in the back and played tag and one of the chair lifts up after a race tanner not thinking at all says Kody if you jump off ill do it to and knowing Kody he did it and on the perfect part and tanner jumps way to late and misses the landing and hits on flat ground and totally collapses and his skis also pop off. So after that we go to the front and there's this little part where to runs meet and one's a little higher than the other and Kody goes and 360's it and were having no idea how he got so much speed to do that and that about concludes our 1st day. Now for the 2nd day Kody and I start out hitting little jumps so I can later progress to the bigger stuff. then I meet a friend and we hang out and go do stuff on the terrain park and then as we go back up the chair lift we heard kody attempted a backflip and didn't make it but he was still fine and he tried again only to be a little bit closer than before but for now he decides to stop and we go in for lunch. after lunch we go in the back area and play tag where two people start out it and if they tag you you go on their team and tanner ends up winning it all and after that we decided to play with only one ski which is very difficult. and after that me and Kody go to the terrain park one more time and he attemps a backflip one more time and he is so close it's not even funny and that's our ski trip
