Reading this heading one might think we are talking about Savannah. Actually I am sharing some experiences I have had the past couple weeks. For the last 3 weeks I have been having these unbelievable pains in my right side and it wasn't until 2 weeks in that I decided to seek medical attention, so I called Garrett. I'm not sure how "suck it up", is going to work on little children but it sure gave me what I needed. It was last Sunday and I felt like I should fast the next day not sure why but I did manage to listen to this prompting. The next day I was also able see the doctor and after listing the 101 symptoms I have been having she said, "well I think you need to get an ultrasound so we can narrow down some things. You can't have eaten in the last 6 or 8 hours though so we can schedule it for later in the week." At which point I was able to say that I was already fasting that day and if they could squeeze me in lets do it now. They were able to squeeze me in and save 3 days of dealing with the pain by that. My lesson learned: We have a loving Heavenly Father who is watching over us even in the little things!!
The second miracle came as I was studying the last day or two for Sunday School next Sunday. The question was; Why does faith have to precede the miracle? For the life of me as I stared intently at that question my mind was absolutely blank!! Then tonight as Becky and I were reading in Nephi it struck me, like Taylor hitting a Norton or Elliott close-lining an unsuspecting freshman football player. One of the reasons faith must precede the miracle is because faith is an action word and we must take action for the miracle to happen. What brought this was Nephi and his brothers going back to Laban for the plates and the miracle it was that they were able to get them after what they went through. It was simple enough to go back to Jerusalem but if they had not acted in faith and gone back they would not have seen the miracle of the retrieving the plates. Faith requires action on our part and when we act with faith in God he rewards us with miracles, great and small (ie. fasting last week)!!!!!
I'm with Kody on us all living together somewhere, Seibold Lane??? It will make it easier taking care of mom and dad when they are old and senile.
